What I want to show you today is what I wear, as a denim obsessed 30-something lady, when I need to spruce things up a little and attend a black tie event. I find it quite hard to really dress up in the evening and still feel like myself. All the mingling and small talk is hard enough for me, I don't need to add an awkward outfit to the mix. So when I am invited to galas and other award shows, I tend to make a beeline for a good suit. This totally isn't a denim suit, although it would be pretty amazing if it was - can we all agree on that? I love the idea of the evening uniform too and how versatile a good double-breasted suit can be. Wear it with or without anything under the jacket with a bit of red lipstick - winning formula each time!
