I spent only 24 hours in Hamburg, but I sort of fell in love with the atmosphere of the city. Believe it or not, but it was my first time in Germany! The part of town I stayed in (St Pauli) reminded me a bit of Copenhagen and Södermalm in Stockholm – very arty, a little run down and filled with interesting shops, independent galleries and cute cafés. I wish I could tell you more about Hamburg, but I am afraid I will have to go back and investigate further!
