Current Beauty Favourites

I am so fickle when it comes to beauty products, sometimes I find it hard to keep up with myself. The reason for this is that I love nothing more than trying out new products. There are so many coming at me from all sides and it becomes hard to stay focused on a single brand or cream. I look everywhere for my stuff, from Boots to Cult Beauty, from London to Los Angeles, via Paris of course, because what would a trip to the mothership be without a few hours spent idling in the beauty aisle of a Monoprix. You can take the girl out of Paris, but you certainly can’t take Paris out of the girl, especially when it comes to face creams! Without further ado, have a look below to find out all you need to know about my current beauty favourites.

I found this fragrance while night-shopping on  (we’ve all been there, don’t judge me) and while it is a little pricier than what I like to spend on perfume, it is possibly one of the most amazing scents! I realise this is a bold claim, but it is 100% the truth. Imagine bottling up your best Summer holiday ever: sand, ocean and suncream with a couple coconut-based cocktails and a tiaré flower in your hair. Can you smell it? Well that’s basically what I smell like nowadays. Everyone I know keeps asking me what my perfume is and I don’t know anyone else who wears it, so that’s pretty cool. If you are looking to change your scent this Summer, go for it!
Skin saviours
and are two French beauty essentials, I mentioned the latter on the blog before and I am sure you have heard of it too. The first one is a magical little stick you just apply under your eyes whenever you need to look less tired. It also helps lightening your dark circles over time, which is one of my problem areas. The Lait Crême Concentré is simply one of the best moisturisers on the market.
When it comes to my body, at the moment I am using which is quite intensely moisturising and is supposed to tone your skin too (haven’t really noticed a difference there). It smells really luxurious and leaves my skin really hydrated and soft. My only complaint is about the texture: it takes ages to penetrate into the skin and so can be a little more time-consuming than your average body moisturiser.
I have recently done a total 360 when it comes to my evening routine – I have stopped using wipes (too harsh) and am really enjoying the cream cleanser + hot cloth combination. It just feels less utilitarian and more pampering, and also I feel a little more virtuous using a cotton cloth rather than disposable wipes. It all adds up in the end. I don’t use it to remove eye make-up though, I still prefer micellar water (any brand is fine).
Finally, two more products that are slowly transforming my skin: and . The former is pretty self-explanatory: when you reach the ripe old age of 36, you definitely look after your face, but don’t forget to also look after your hands so you don’t have to wear gloves like Madonna when you reach 50. As for the Body Polish, it is a very gentle exfoliant that smells pretty heavenly. Highly recommended.
