When the temperature climbs and climbs… and climbs while you are travelling with a rather limited supply of clothing, there is only one thing to do. This thing, contrary to popular belief isn’t to run to your nearest park and lay half-naked in the sunshine. What you want to do is find something to wear that is both chic and practical, with minimal amount of fabric and maximal amount of style. I realise this sounds like a major contradiction but it isn’t really.
Before flying to Los Angeles, I headed to the Oasis flagship store in Argyll Street to pick some bits and bobs for my trip. They have some brilliant pieces in at the moment, perfect for arid climates. Culottes in light and breezy fabrics, cute little tank tops and more. I picked these shorts which reminded me of my gaming days and a certain Lara Croft and paired them with a sixties inspired crop-top. The idea was to complement my Oasis x Keds Floral Skater shoes and complete a #perfectlypaired outfit!
I love, love, love skater styles as they are so damn easy to wear with everything and they work in almost every situation. I travel a lot (hence this jetsetter style) and I like to travel light, so I need a lot of versatile pieces in my wardrobe. Most of my clothing is quite plain, and in three colours (denim, black and white mostly) so my shoes become the talking point of any outfit. These Oasis x Keds Floral skaters are perfect as they work just as well in the daytime with the outfit below or at night with a cool suit – believe me I tried!
The Oasis x Keds collection includes a few different styles, all paired with a different personality type… If you want to have a little bit of fun while looking at cute shoes, I encourage you to go and have a look on the Oasis website where you can take a special quiz to find your perfect pair of shoes.
