How I Wear – Leather Leggings and Lace-Up Heels

A quick flashback to my latest Los Angeles trip, where I fully embraced my newfound love for  a combination of leather leggings, bare ankles and foofy shirts.

From time to time it is quite nice to find a combination of clothes that take you a little out of your usual comfort zone or uniform. In my case, the uniform at the moment is: skinny jeans, sweat-shirt and trainers… I feel pretty crazy when I venture in “girlfriend jeans” territory so you can imagine that leather leggings and heels are as far out of my zone as possible. However, after trying on these L.K. Bennett faux-leather & scuba leggings, I was pretty much a convert, ready to burn all my skinny jeans and just worship at the altar of the “elevated skinny trousers“. Many different scenarios suddenly started flashing in my head: I could wear them on the plane, I could wear them with a loose tee-shirt and a blazer, I could wear them with a cashmere jumper dress – endless possibilities.

This time around, I wore them with this awesome piano print shirt by Emilia Wickstead, a white bucket bag and lace-up heels. Simple is often best.
