I logged in to Hulu last week and was greeted by a massive banner saying “FALL TV IS HERE“. This is the real barometer of the end of the Summer. Forget the dates and slow colour change of the leaves, it is all about the Fall TV schedule. And it is looking GOOD. When it comes to my wardrobe, that means… nothing. At the moment there is a status quo of sorts, because it is still pretty warm so I can’t yet live out my Captain Harlock fantasies in my oversized coat and super skinny jeans combo and also I seem to wear a whole lot of black come rain or come shine. To prove to myself I haven’t totally plunged into the heart of darkness, I figured I could add some colour to my current wardrobe and so I picked up this River Island top and MCM bag, both in a glorious shade of wine red, perfect for right now. This is only part one of my Autumnal Colours series as another few wine coloured bits and pieces have made their way in my closet recently.
After reading this post, I challenge you not to have “Red Red Wine” stuck in your head. Worst earworm ever.
