New In – Summer Shoes From Ras

A few months ago (yep, it was that long), I received an email from Spain telling me everything about RAS shoes, a luxury footwear label founded in 1988 and aimed at the young and urban market. To me this reads like “affordable luxury” which is a concept I am all in favour of: well-crafted items, produced responsibly and locally, but without too much of a price hike on the finished product. All of RAS shoes are made in Spain, from high-quality leather and they retail around €100/€150, definitely more than your average high-street sandals, but at least they will stand the test of time.
I picked these two pairs from the SS14 lookbook. The collection is now available to purchase online via their website, or in one of their many international stockists. Looking through the range, you can see it is very directional and offers a good take on the current footwear trends without being too crazy. As you will see, the range can be a little hit and miss and some pieces are definitely stronger than others but overall, I feel they carry enough styles to suit everyone’s tastes.

Espadrilles are a Spanish specialty so I couldn’t pass on a pair – especially when they have a hint of Valentino about them. These aren’t yet for sale on the site, but you can see their selection of espadrilles right here.
These sandals are the perfect complement to my Balenciaga pair and remind me of some Marni sandals I coveted earlier in the season. These are currently available on the site: Vaccheta.
