Los Angeles Visual Diary – Beverly Hills

I don’t tend to spend that much time in Beverly Hills whenever I am in L.A. but there are a couple places around there that make the day trip worth it. Sure, I enjoy a stroll on Rodeo Drive for a bit of window shopping – for some reason, all the European luxury brands look nicer under the Californian sun. You’ve all heard of the beautiful Prada store on Rodeo Drive with its open front. Everywhere you look on Rodeo is pretty sleek and modern and so impeccably clean it seems to belong in a science-fiction film. One of the main reasons for me to make the trip out West is to visit the Paley Centre For Media which has a small permanent collection of TV props (hello, set from Friends and Seinfeld) and often hosts interesting media related events. When we were there at Easter, they held a charity auction featuring costumes and props from LOST. On this trip, I discovered a new place just off Rodeo Dr called Ice Cream Lab, which is an ice-cream parlour that uses molecular cuisine techniques. Interesting…
