Ida Sjöstedt's SS14 collection picks up where she left off for SS13, carrying in on with her concept of "Dream Girls". This time they've grown up and are learning to be women. Once again, her collection is a crescendo, going from a very cute, accessible pret à porter start which little by little escalates until it reaches full couture level. Throughout the show, there were influences from Luella and Valentino but overall it stayed very much within Ida's own whimsical brand. When the first dresses started going down the runway, I couldn't wait to get to the gowns, which this season were made while working towards a more sustainable fashion, with minimal fabric waste when cutting and sewing materials. Think of it like a collage. Fun fact: some of the pieces from the collection were made from SS13's show backdrop!
