This morning in Stockholm, a Magical Fashion Moment happened courtesy of a 26 year old from South Korea, currently studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Minju Kim’s show made me gasp with excitement, silhouette after silhouette. I have sadly become very jaded when it comes to fashion and its codes and regimented trends and Minju Kim’s complete freedom and lack of creative inhibitions really moved me. She is having fun with fashion and not paying attention to what’s “in” or what “should be done”, while at the same time delivering an impressively crafted collection.
Chosen pieces from this collection will be sold in H&M stores worldwide for AW13. I cannot wait.
