MRLA – Grimes / Leopardessa / Pulp

Maurice is back… with Jarvis Cocker.

Nightmusic“, second single of Grimes album “Visions“, is out and she joined forces with Majical Cloudz again to make beautiful music. I love this video, she looks like a goth princess.
Leopardessa is a collaboration between Jessica Harris and Mariaelena Zannini, named after their boutique in Rome (opened since 2010) which is a vintage clothing store and an open archive of their designs.
This new collection is inspired by the 1924 silent film “Venus of the South Seas” with Annette Kellerman, 60’s cinema, delicate colors and feminine cuts. Here’s a super exclusive preview of their collection and my favorite pieces!
Leopardessa also designed a mini collection of baroque romantic dresses & veils for Italian cult novelist Isabella Santacroce to celebrate the release of her latest book “Amorino” in Milan for the presentation of her book.
Jessica Harris’ own collection is in current development for next season. I’ll keep you posted on that!

I’ve been away for a while with personal activities, but I’m back in full force with my latest adventures in L.A. and México.
This time I went to see Pulp! Finally, Pulp! I’ve been waiting to see them play in America for years and years! My excitement for the show is indescribable: it was non-stop dancing for 2 and a half hours. My legs were hurting the next couple of days after, but it was worth it! I got to meet Jarvis Cocker backstage after their performance and he was as charming and lovely as I imagined. I also met Candida, the keyboardist, she introduced herself to me very nicely. I ran into Money Mark and chatted with him for a bit. Afterwards, Jarvis went outside to meet some fans, and he was very gracious.
I went to the show with my friend Scarlett, who was the perfect because date because we both grew up listening to Pulp and are big fans. All in all, I can happily say that it was one of the best nights of my life.
Here’s a mini video of the show, I wish I taken more, but I was too exited and just wanted to dance!
