It’s pretty good to stay in YMC, yeah.
Sometimes two great things come together and create something even better than the sum of their parts. The new YMC and Mr Porter collaboration is like that time when Barbara Streisand and Barry Gibb got together to record Guilty, only better. YMC have long been a favourite of mine – one of the few designers I’ve been wearing consistently since way back in the 90’s. The clothes might look a little understated (especially for my tastes) but that’s the charm of YMC, beyond wearable – these are wardrobe staples and I never fail to get complimented when wearing YMC. Continuing the theme of amazing collaborations I cross-bred some male models with kittens just for you. I know, I know, I’m too good to you.
It’s a nine piece capsule collection designed especially for summer, British Summer that is (Lightweight bomber jacket? Essential) and was inspired by 1960’s L.A., surf culture and a personal hero of mine – Dennis Wilson (I’m channelling his beard right now). The Peter Pan collars, polkadot button downs and my fave, the loopback sweatshirt in yellow, make for a perfect summer look. Here are some of my favourite pieces.
Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go and feed the kitten boys. My work is never done 😉
