A date with Fifi Wilson

Fifi Wilson
Yesterday I went to visit Fifi Wilson in her Chelsea shop (1 Godfrey Street SW3 3TA). I am often found browsing the rails of the Seven Dials branch of this London boutique (38 Monmouth Street WC2H 9EP), but I had never been to the Chelsea one… and most importantly I had never met Fifi (and her adorable pug Elvis, who is the new love of my life).

What I thought would be an hour long meeting/chit chat session quickly turned into the mother of all hang outs as we got caught up in conversation about the Fashion Industry, the difficulties women face when trying to make it on their own, pugs, style and much much more. Fifi is extremely inspiring, and a complete idealist when it comes to Fashion and personal style, which I found extremely refreshing and endearing. One of the reasons why I am not so into the whole fashion game is because I think there aren’t enough people like Fifi around.

Her vision of fashion definitely shows in her shop which is quirky without ever being over the top and her selection is extremely feminine without being too twee. Over the years, she has developed wonderful relationships with some of her customers and successfully created a shopping environment that’s both on trend, original and friendly.

She sells a lot of my favourite designers, including Vivetta, Elizabeth Lau, See by Chloé or Stretsis. If you are not in London, you can also buy online. WIN.

In other words: my dream shop.
I also need to tell you everything about the Arcadia dinner I went to on Wednesday… in the meantime you can watch some mini interviews on Grazia Daily.

You may notice a few changes in the navigation menu at the top: there are now only five main categories. To make my content more accessible I have now created a “Best Of” section where you can read my most popular posts. I will update it regularly.
