My Paris Fashion Week adventure – Day 2: Manish Arora stole my heart

I Love Paris at Manish Arora
The bag that says it all
I love every instant of my life as a Fashion Tourist at Paris Fashion Week. It might be because the sun is shining, people are friendly and happy or because there is a Fashion Shuttle to take us from show to show or even because I somehow got given good seats both times… Either way, so far my experience of Paris Fashion Week has been far superior to London. I suppose I am under less pressure to perform here as I am only reviewing shows for myself and it was a bit of a last minute affair so I didn’t see it as proper work like LFW.

One thing is sure though: next season I am all over Paris, with my serious work hat on. Basically, if the blogger backlash frenzy isn’t over by September, London can suck it. I have had enough of being treated like an underdog because of a few bloggers misbehaving.

ANYWAY… Back to Manish Arora aka the new dream man in my life. His collection was beyond amazing, full of sequins, pearls, bright colours and Dr Demento shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti. Inspired by the 20s and 30s, with wig like hats by J Smith Esquire it really was a fashion dream come true. His show made me smile from ear to ear in the beautiful setting of the Lycée Henri IV.

Special bonus, this tiny video of the moment of the show that blew my mind to a million little pieces. It is pitch black at the beginning and that’s normal, just keep watching.
