Fully embracing my inner little girl

The past couple of days have been brilliantly springy here in London and I am taking it all in for fear it might go away again. All the windows are open and a light breeze is blowing on my neck. I can hear the distant humming of cars and people talking in the street. Happy times are back! I must be part hibernating mammal as I really do come back to life with Spring. All I want to do is lie in the park with a book. This Winter has been so darn long, I got to the stage when I was properly gagging for Spring. And  finally here it is (or may be). It still isn't warm enough to stop wearing tights, but I am embracing my inner little girl and wearing my sandals with cotton tights! I cannot wait any longer to wear them, my feet want freedom! FREEDOM FOR THE FOOTS, FREEDOM FOR THE FOOTS!

If I appear to be going a bit bonkers about the weather it is because I AM. And the award of the most vacuous style post ever goes to meeeeeeeeeee. Thank you thank you, please you're too kind, no really thank you *bows gracefully* (*falls over*)

Oh yes! I also went to the hairdressers to sort out my mane and you can vaguely see the result above. I wanted something a little less like a stripper wig and more natural. Basically I didn't want to have to straighten my hair everytime I wash it and wanted to let my curls come back little by little. I spend way too long looking at dreamy hair photos on tumblr and I am trying to grow my hair all the way down my back... Long long long, ginger and tousled. Maybe by the time I am 40 I will get to that stage.

Shoes - Swedish Hasbeens (tip of the day: they are way cheaper on Yoox)

I think in the coming weeks I am going to try and show you my Spring capsule wardrobe (the actual one, not the one I made on Polyvore).
Do you have outfits you can't wait to wear this Spring?

Oh GOSH!!! I was so excited to post about Spring that I forgot to tell you that I was hanging out on the beautiful Marian Kihogo's blog today, go check it out I dare you.

  5. Stripper wig hahaha!!!
I love the new hair cut, it's very sassy.

I am so right with you about dying for Spring to arrive! I think it's here this week in New York, the weather all week is saying in the 60's and the sun is shining. I hope it stays!

  7. Thanks ever so much for the Yoox trip, I was thinking about getting a pair of Hasbeens but thought I couldn't afford them on my student budget, but I am now forced to think again. Your hair looks lovely; I am very jealous of your curls, my hair is straight but tends to flick everywhere. Not good. Also, I want that pillow. Man, that's a lot of stuff to write, but it's such a good post, I can't help it!

  8. So beautiful.

It's been so lovely on and off here too. I'm just dying for spring and this teasing weather is just so wonderful and yet so painful.

I'm in the stage of growing my hair long long long, too.

  10. I adore the Miranda July pillow cases, I've requested some from my boyfriend :)

The new do is lovely, you never looked like a stripper wig by the way! Woolly tights are the way to go.

  13. LCDS - Oui, The Hairdressers a encore fait du bon boulot!

Anisha - I think it is just the colour of the photo, my hair is still the same copper colour.

  14. I donated my hair to "Cuts for Cancer" about two years ago and I'm still growing it out. I had it in a bob but it looked like a cheap wig, and then I got the worst haircut in the world. Luckily I found the best hairdresser and he fixed it right up. Now my hair's down my back and I love it! I don't even feel like straightening my hair anymore because I love my waves and curls (they make me feel like the tempestuous heroine in a book, think Wuthering Heights or Pride and Prejudice).

  15. I'm loving that the weather is getting a bit better in Leeds! I can't wait for the days when I don't have to wear thick tights every day!

I'm quite tempted to buy a pair of Hasbeens! They look so cute. Are they comfy?

  19. Hi Mademoiselle Robot, I fell in love with the Toffel sandals. I tried googling them to see if I could order a pair online. Unfortunately nothing relevant came up! Could you tell me if there's a website I can look up on? Thanks and I love your blog = )
