I don't need to wait for Halloween to play dress up! At the moment, I can't live without a ridiculously short black dress (read: I can't decently raise my arms while wearing it), stripey tights & a bow-tie. When my mother saw me wearing this, she said I reminded her of a clown, which wasn't supposed to be a positive thing, but
it totally is to me ... When I picked this outfit I had Wednesday Addams in mind, not Pierrot or Auguste the sad clown but it is all good, in case you were wondering.

I am getting really excited about
Halloween, as you may have
noticed, and have now spent so long thinking about
costumes ideas that I can't stay focused on the one I have been preparing for in the first place... So far I have two options, multiple dresses choice & an awfully large bottle of fake blood!

I like it! Halloween is one of my favourite holidays, however my costume is currently under wraps!
ReplyDeleteI will of course, be posting photos before or just after Friday's celebrations!
What a fabulous outfit, I loooooove your tights! :) As for halloween, hmmmm, I'm not too sure yet - it's not a big thing here in Australia, but I'm sure I'll find my own way to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it, you look fantastic - I especially like the tights. I'm Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for halloween, its my first ever halloween - i'm kind of excited :) I still need to find some red glitter heels...
ReplyDeleteI was going to be the Black Dahlia, in a black 40s dress, black seamed stockings and zombie/slashed face makeup, but the black dress I just picked up from the post office is so NOT the size it was advertised at...it's teeny! So I need a new idea :(
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love the outfit--a perfect Halloween fit for you. ;)
ReplyDeleteI still haven't decided what I'm going to be for Halloween. Mostly because I don't have any place to really go that day... lol. I'll probably rustle something up from my stash of vintage!
Love this outfit! I don't think it looks clowny at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on being a flapper, but I'm putting my own twist on it - black dress that I'm making, I might splatter bleach all over it, a cloche that I've crocheted with a sugar skull and a bow on it, some of my jewelry, and a cupid's bow mouth of course...so I dunno, a punk flapper? haha. I'm probably going to wear leggings though because it's going to be FUH-REEZING on Halloween, so I'm pretty sure nobody'll actually be able to tell what I am.
I bought a wedding gown from ebay and transformed it into an ice queen. This year marks my 5th annual Halloween party!
ReplyDeleteLoving your striped tights :)
ReplyDeleteI think you look a little more Wonderland than anything, but very very cute. Love the glasses.
