Christmas is pretty much here already, sneeze and it will be gone. And while I haven’t yet chosen my Christmas dress, I already know what lip colour I am going for.
The festive period is a time of eating, kissing and er… eating so you need two things: a lipstick with a rather impressive staying power AND a good lipstick sealer (Lipcote, I am looking at you, my everyday hero). On a day to day basis, you can perhaps get away with one or the other if you are careful – I am not, so I like to seal my lipstick with some Lipcote anyway.
Because I am not massively prepared this year, I figured once again I would just rely mostly on my make-up to make me look festive. As a result, I started wearing red lipstick everyday in December, hoping to carry this on until at least Valentine’s Day. I sometimes alternate with shocking pink and more rarely with a great nude. Seriously, when your dress sense gets plainer and plainer every day, it is worth thinking about things that will keep you from being a total plain Jane. Or do we say normcore Jane these days? I am not sure.
