Last Minute Gifts under £50

With Christmas around the corner, there is no time to mess around with online shopping anymore: you have to hit the streets to find those last minute gifts and treats. Although I promised myself I wouldn't brave the crowds this year, I still have to locate a couple last minute presents and so I will join the rush after all. To make the idea a little more attractive, I am turning it into a bit of a personal challenge. Let me tell you how:

American Express partnered with Foursquare (a free location based app I am pretty much addicted to) to enable their Cardmembers to discover and unlock American Express special offers when they check in to a location. All you have to do is visit the registration page and sync your Card to your existing Foursquare profile (or you can create a new one). After that, it is pretty much smooth sailing: turn on Foursquare and you can discover all the great American Express specials nearby. Once you find a Special you like, just check-in to the location and “load” the special onto your Card. Easy, right? 

To give you a bit of a head start, here are some of the retailers involved and what they offer:

- Fashion & Beauty: Harvey Nichols and Selfridges (spend £50, get £10 back - 6500 available , Anthropologie and Space NK (spend £30, get £10 back - 2000 available at Anthropologie and 1500 at Space NK)
- Food, because you will need to take a break from shopping: Pizza Express and GBK (spend £30 get £10 back - 4000 available)
- Travel: World Duty Free offers £20 back when you spend £60. I know I will be using this one on my next trip in January!
