The Hermit
I love this card full of personal and spiritual growth sitting as our mid-year check point. The meaning runs so much deeper than what you might think from hearing the title. Yes this card is about introspection but it is NOT about hiding.
Over the next few weeks re-evaluate what type of energy, personality and profile you are emitting. Is it the one you are happy with? Use your spare time to take a personal retreat where you wrap yourself up in your cloak before emerging as a superhero. The answers are always within and I feel like this card is like a connection to your own personal battery pack, a moment to recharge energy, confidence and prepare to call into action those wishes you made back in June.
Astrologically, we have just entered Mercury Retrograde, so it really is the perfect time to gather yourself back together, put to bed – ahem not literally – those outdated ideas and romances, before shedding your skin and really charging forward. The Hermit also links up with Virgo, who sure knows how to work a plan, channel that energy, gather your dreams but with a practical intent.
I’d like to end this month with one of my absolute favourite quotes which I really feel sums up what this card is all about, teaching us that it is so important not to let fear stop us from getting out and shining bright!
