I spent the weekend in Lisbon where I was invited by Marriott Autograph Collection to review the Fontecruz Hotel. I think the last time I was in Lisbon was in the Summer of 1997 so I didn’t remember the city so well. All I remembered was how much I enjoyed spending time there, how delicious Portuguese food is and how lovely are all the azulejos covered buildings.
My only plans for the weekend were to explore the city by foot, eat in great restaurants and stuff as many pasteis de nata as I could in my mouth – these things are tasty. I must say I succeeded and ticked all the boxes in my to-do list. I came home Sunday night 2 kilos heavier (not that I’m counting) and my head filled with beautiful cobblestoned streets and colourful tiles. I will soon share my favourite places with you, but I figured I would start by simply showing you some photos of this beautiful city.
