Back in March, the lovely Ismay from My Flash Trash came to my flat with mountains of jewels for tea, cat cuddles and of course a spot of jewellery dress-up. She interviewed me on my style and stuffs (you can read the interview here).
I’ve always been a firm believer in the power of the accessories, be it in my more eccentric days or now that I tend to dress more or less like Larry David or a catholic school boy. Most days, I will get dressed and put on a white shirt, jeans and some sneakers, look at myself with my big geeky glasses on and think “oh man I need to have coffee in cars with comedians“. Then I put on a necklace, a couple rings, maybe a bangle or 5 and suddenly I look like me, which is essentially a slightly more fashion conscious Larry David. If there was a scale that would go from Larry David to Lara Stone I’d be just over Larry David on good days.
To cut a rather long story short – I have a 90210 episode to watch – I will say this: accessorise! The best thing is that it doesn’t have to be expensivo, costume jewellery does the trick perfectly. Damn I wrote a whole book about it, so you can take my word for it!
