By the final day of LC:M I was tired, possibly hungover and maybe even a little grumpy. Ok I was definitely hungover. Anyway, after a while catwalk shows begin to blend into one – especially when you see the same trends, colours and shapes on every runway. Then BLAM, right out of the blue, when I thought I was all fashioned-out, Katie Eary smacked me right across the face. Not literally you understand, but with her AW13 collection. Like a hot knife through butter, Eary’s collection cut through the swathes of samey, safe and lacklustre collections that make up the bulk of British menswear. You see, Katie Eary makes her own trends. With a different colour palette, a facemelting hip-hop soundtrack and sci-fi lobster prints Eary turned out to be my favourite show of the whole season. From the custom Nike Spizike’s right up to the slick hair and blingin’ jewellery, there was nothing I didn’t love about this collection.
Traduction – La collection AW13 de Katie Eary était de loin ma préférée à LCM.
