Last night, while I was attending the Dorchester Fashion Prize in Paris (more on this very soon), Richard aka Photobot aka the Eye of Moscow went to the opening of the brand new Paule Ka store, on Mount street.
Paule Ka is a label I grew up with, I remember vividly picking a lovely sixties inspired white skirt suit for a family wedding when I was 16 years old. I also remember, perhaps even more vividly the intense pride I felt while wearing it. It was after all my first foray into luxury clothes and the next one would come much, much later.
This new space, located at 19 Mount Street perfectly showcases the 60’s influences of the brand, following Serge Cajfinger’s vision, as inspired by Mies Van Der Rohe’s Barcelonian Pavillion. The clothes and accessories collections appear to be floating, as if by magic. As soon as I get back to London, you will find me cuddling a few dresses in the Paule Ka store!
