#TryTheTrend – The Trans-seasonal dress

Do you know what’s fun? When one of your favourite online stores invites you and some of your best blogging pals to an afternoon of dress-up, photos and food at their swanky offices. A couple of weeks ago, as soon as I landed from Stockholm Fashion Week, I hotfooted it to the NàP offices for the “Try The Trend” photoshoot where we were asked to style three tricky Fall trends: Statement Jumper, Trans-Seasonal Dress and Leather Trousers. I let you guess which one was the trickiest!
I was going to show you everything at once, but since I am already posting quite a few photos of my mug on the blog at the moment, I will pace myself and start with the first trend which also happens to be the least tricky: the trans-seasonal dress.
The one I chose for the shoot is from Marni who I think makes the best dresses, especially if like me you are trying to step away from “fussy” and go towards something a little simpler. I was drawn to it because of the different textures (wool and crepe) and colours (cream, navy and black). It makes a perfect book launch dress actually!
Traduction – Il y a quelques semaines, j’étais conviée à participer à une séance photo pour Net à Porter afin de tester (pour vous) trois tendances un peu difficiles pour l’automne: le pull “statement”, le pantalon en cuir et la robe de demi-saison.
