Wow, this week has been busy! Super productive, but hectic. And to top it all, I managed to slip and fall down the stairs in the tube, so now I have bleeding knees just like a Caitlin Shearer girl, but not as pretty.
On Twitter the other day, Gala was asking what we wore to work. I work from home so you know pretty much how I dress for that, but I haven't yet shown you what I wear when I actually have to do some work outside of the house (various fashion/social media consultancy related missions). Since I never really know what type of office/meeting/people I am dealing with, I always wear something that reflects my usual style, but in a dolled up/more professional way if that makes sense... and I wear heels in the daytime, something that very rarely happens.

Now let me tell you about this satchel... I think I have been on a quest for the perfect satchel for about 2 years now. I have been toying with the idea of getting one from the Cambridge Satchel company, I have even considered getting the Alexa from Mulberry when I first caught a glimpse of it at Fashion Week last season. Despite the Alexa being a great bag, I can't quite bring myself to commit that much to a bag. To cut a long story short, I have been trawling Etsy to find the elusive perfect satchel. My demands were: has to be big enough to hold a4/a laptop/a camera, has to be leather, has to have a handle and a shoulder strap, has to be brown and old. I think this one fits the bill perfectly at the moment! I embellished it a bit with a few vintage-y brooches and so far it hasn't left my arm - so practical for work! So thank you Kennedy Holmes for providing me with the perfect satchel without having to break the bank.

ReplyDeleteHaaaaaaan je suis jalousie totale là! Je suis prof et je cherche une besace en cuir suffisamment grande et solide pour contenir mes fardes et le reste. Je ne veux absolument pas devoir acheter une Arthur et Aston, tous les profs ont les mêmes, je trouve ça bof et puis ça coûte un bras. Haaaan... Bon, je penserai à toi quand je partirai au boulot avec mon sac en plastoc gigantesque. Chançarde ;-)

Ugh, the first time I was in London, I slipped an fell on the stairs at Piccadilly tube station. I was mortified and hurt.
