 Enjoying the Autumn Sun

I know a lot of you have been following this blog for a while now, and you know a lot about me. Today, I would like to get to know you better. The comments on this post are here for you to tell me a bit about your life, your aspirations, maybe show me a little photo of your faces... It would be great for me to know who I am sharing my life with.

Also, this is the time for you to tell me if there is anything you would like to see on these pages, how you found this website etc.

So go ahead and tell me who you are and what you think.

Thank you for taking the time to read me everyday and welcome to those of you who just arrived.

  1. Well, hello there.
My name is Anisha and we have so far had a little chat over on twitter about t-mobile's G1.

As of now, I am 23, from a small town in Germany and a student at a uni that counts 32699 other students. While I was enrolled in English & Religious studies for a long while, I have now decided to become a full-time theologian (is that the word) and study for ordination.

I love music above all things and literature and London, my favorite TV shows are Queer as Folk and Buffy, and my favorite movies of all times include Edward Scissorhands and Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I enjoy your blog so much because I'm curious about other people's life. Plus, I think your posts are mega-inspirational!

  2. You're a doll and a half. What a wonderful blog post. Where should I begin? My real name is Kathryne, I really am French and I'm a 23 year old jewelry and accessories designer living near Austin, Texas, USA. I also work as a hair and makeup artist on the side. I had a style blog years back that got hacked and I am just now trying to start a new one. I admire that you do this every day!
I'm handicapped and am a member of a group that supports other handicapped hair and makeup artists. This all sounds very resume-esque, yikes! I guess my one dream is to overcome my limitations being handicapped and be as successful as I can be while still following my dreams. I actually started designing because my handicap killed my dancing career. It's still a struggle every day, and I mourn the loss of my former life, but I have found happiness in what I do.
I found your blog while scrolling through google pictures, and have been addicted ever since! Your style is so adorable without being too cutesy. I really have no suggestions other than keep doing what you are doing because that is what makes me continue to follow you :)
Here is a picture of moi, a little cleave-tastic, but still me :)

  4. What a nice thing to do! My name is Harriet and I am currently a bit unemployed. Right this second I am supposed to be packing for a weekend in Oxford but I am clearly reading my google reader instead... oops?

I have a degree in Engineering, but I got a bit sick of it by the end and wanted something different. Hence the employnet-break. In the meantime I have a very me-centric blog which features a lot of pictures if you want to see my face!

I jumped on the Madmoiselle Robot bandwagon a bit late, but I love all your posts as they seem very content driven and each is different. So thanks for giving me something to distract myself wsith when I should be leaving in 40 minutes, eek! xx

  5. Hi! My name is Mette and I’m 34. When I was really young I lived in Paris for a couple of years and the last two I've spent in London. I'm originally from Denmark where I used to work as a journalist (art and fashion and now I work as a Press Coordinator.

Your blog has been in my google reader for at least a year (I think I found it via The Coveted). I keep coming back to your blog because it inspires me and I like your quirky style and the designers and artists you write about (I particularly enjoyed the interview you did recently w. Matthew Gray Gubler.

To me it’s also interesting to read a blog written by someone who, like me, have uprooted their life and moved to another country. oh….and thank you so much for your Paris recommendations a while back. I invited my husband out for dinner at Monjul...c'était superb :-) Le Loir dans la Théière was great too. x

  6. I'm a new kid on the block!! :D

My name is Samantha, I'm 24, originally born and raised in Scotland until 2000 when I moved to Texas with my parents.

Been living here in Dallas for the past 8 years, getting my BA and MA in Anthropology [with an interest in Visual], but my free time is dedicated to photography, fashion, journalism and social media.

My intention is to mash all these interests into photography and make a living!

Your blog and others really offer some creative insight, things I wouldn't even have dreamed of. I love how the blog offers snapshots of people's lives [like yours]

I admire your style and dedication to writing to your followers. :) Keep up the great work!!

  7. Hello! Found you on BitchBuzz's "blogs we love" list. I'm a writer, mom & (soon to be yet again) student...and I love reading for fashion inspiration & fun interviews. I'm still undecided on my halloween costume - but loved your suggestions & will post a link back & photos if I use one of them.

  8. Beautiful photo!

I am a happily anonymous NYC fashion designer who writes a fashion blog about working in fashion and the NYC Garment Center. After getting a degree in design I moved from the midwest to NYC, which was a bit of a culture shock. I've been in the business over ten years and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of fashion.

Besides having my life revolve around fashion, I am married to a wonderfully supportive man. I love art, travel, cooking, and am huge foodie. And of course I love to read Mademoiselle Robot in my spare time!

  9. i can't remember when i first read your blog... did i stumble across yours? or perhaps you stumbled across mine and i came here? who cares! either way, i'm glad it happened. no one rocks the looks you do.

my name is gilda and i am currently living in new york, and working on my senior thesis collection at parsons' fashion degree program. i've been here just over 2 years now. time sure flies. before i moved to new york i lived in tokyo for 4 years where i attended bunka fashion college and had the most amazing time of my life.

i'm originally from singapore, and i sure do miss home. i don't know if i'll ever move back although it is very tempting since it's so much easier, but i hope to one day live in tokyo and also have an apartment in london or paris. i just need to be surrounded by creative people, you know?? those 3 cities are surely the best for it!

  10. what a great opportunity!

Hmmm...my name is Diana, I'm 28. My parents are mixture of Mexican and Asian cultures so I grew up on a very confused ethnicity and just recently began to accept the different features I have ("Are you Asian? Mexican? I can't tell")
I was raised in Orange County, California, moved to San Francisco, I did hair and makeup all through school, once I got my Master's in Library Science, I moved back home, married a great man, and now I'm here.

The reason I began reading this blog and the reason I keep coming back to it is because I am constantly inspired. You let us know that we can have style no matter what age, size, and limits we may think our closets have.
After grad school. I don't dress as cute and your blog doesn't just show cute pics, but it says to get off our bums and do it.

  11. Oh bless.
I'm Sarah-Rose, 26, and I currently live in New Zealand where I work at Parliament. I found your blog when I was living in London and I always find our outfit posts so inspiring. Especially as you're a mother. As I come to the age where I am considering starting a little family with my darling husband I love seeing sites where being a mother is not the focus but merely a facet of a rich life, where you still love fashion and dress fabulously. I fear for losing myself if/when I become a mother!
Annnnd now I love it because I miss London terribly and soak up everything I can from the internet about it.
    bisous,
    Sarah-Rose

  13. Well well. I'm Samantha, 23 and from Northern Ireland so I talk like a farmer. I live in England and attend univeristy here, studying English Literature. I'm not sure what I want to do with my life or even if university was the right choice but oddly, I'm okay with that. I'm enjoying the idea that I don't know how things are going to turn out- I like a good mystery.

I enjoy tea and coffee; baking; making forts even though I am technically too old for such shenanigans; makeup & fashion and the X Factor.

I don't really like brushing or cutting my hair because it's too painful to brush and I like to look like a mermaid. I also don't like working as a barista because you have to get up really early in the morning but I do it anyway because I get free coffee.

I found this blog one day whilst searching for good interviews of Matthew Gray Gubler because he is a dreamboat and I liked his website. I'm really glad I found it as it has become one of my favourite blogs to read and you seem like a really rad laydee.

  14. I have just found your blog but I think I am going to be a regular visitor!

I am a 18 year old girl from Barcelona (Spain) that has just started studying Fashion Design. I love art and fashion more than anything else and during my free time I blog, read others blogs (specially of stylish girls that post about their lives), make clothes and accessories, party, take pictures, look for pictures on the net and get excited about things that will happen in the future :)

    Nice to meet you!

  15. Hello MR!

My name is Barry; I'm a 21 year old t-shirt designer and maths textbook writer (that'd be my day job) currently living in Charleston, SC.

I grew up in love with academia, particularly mathematics, but found my creative side slowly took me over throughout college in the form of fashion, music and design. Thus, here I am, starting something crazy and new (well, I guess I started a year and a half ago, but it feels like I'm just starting again!).

Found your blog through IFB, and I love the openness; I think it's the most important thing in a performer, whether a designer, writer, musician, or artist.

Glad to see that openness grow with things like this!

  16. My being anonymous an'll rather puts the kibosh on my opening up! But I can tell you I was an editor at British Condé Nast for five years and an executive fashion editor for three years on publications either side of the Atlantic, in addition to all sort of other stuff. I like pink roses, dachshunds, Laduree macarons, bicycles, old books, and eating!

    Love your blog LLGxx

  17. This idea is rad.

I am almost 19, student aiming to get a degree in Psychology, doing a diploma in Fashion design and learning web and graphic design by myself, freelancing, blogging and what not. There are so many things I like and want to do and so little time. On the whole, my life is quite a mess and I complain about it all day, but still I love me and my life after everything!

I came across your blog half-thinking that the author is really a "robot" or the author is a robotics enthusiast, and then I came to know that this is a fashion blog. I admire the way you run this, MR. I have never been successful at writing a fashion blog.

    All the best!

    xx,
    Freya

    Hi!

I'm 27 and I'm from Cork in Ireland. I used to study architecture but then about 4 years ago I got really sick with M.E. and had to move back home. I started blogging because I was bored and isolated being at home all day doing nothing. Initially it was a way for me to write to my friends about the things we'd usually talk about; clothes, shoes, shopping, books, films, art. But then other people started reading and commenting and I found the social aspect to blogging. I'm gradually getting better and last year I took an evening class in photography and fell in love with it!

I found your blog through The Coveted and I really love your sense of style and my favourite bit is when you photograph your own outfits! :) I won the Wardrobe detox a few weeks ago and I can't wait to do it (when i get organised!)

This is a great idea! Nice to meet you and all your other readers! :)

  19. I'm Vicki, I'm 25 and I currently work in an office sending emails and letters. I have a degree in Publishing with English but didn't really want to move to London or Oxford (where most of the jobs are) so I'm doing a part-time law conversion.

That's the CV-like part over with!

I found your blog... I have no idea when I found your blog but I've been reading it for quite a while! I don't usually read style blogs, truth be told, but yours has something awesome that keeps me coming back for more!

At some point I intend to treat myself to one of your consultations, when I have a bit of spare cash and time. It's something I've rather fancied having for a while as I'm definitely in a bit of a rut clothes-wise!

  20. What a great idea! It's been lovely reading a bit about the people who are also reading this post with me :-)

I'm Lorraine, but am known to my friends and the internet as Lori. I live in London, work in an office to get cash but have no idea what I'd really like to do with my life. I identify with Daisy in the TV show Spaced, especially when Tim says she "wants to be a journalist but hasn't quite tried that yet".

  21. Hi!

My name is Lucy and I am from New Zealand. I am a playwright and I study theatre and screen writing. :D I love your outfits and they inspire me to add a lot more colour to the drab palate of greys and blacks everyone seems to wear here.
I found your blog by clicking from another blog through another blog and another until I stumbled onto yours!

  22. Well my name is Angel (seriously). I'm a BA English Student. Originally from England, but now in Israel. I blog at: http://vintage-angelc.blogspot.com

I found your blog through I think Queens of Vintage about two months ago, and I'm hooked. I'd like to see some more daily outfit posts... just because I think you have a great sense of style. You're also a really nice person, as I have found from your blog posts and speaking to you on twitter.

  25. Hello :)

I've only begun reading your blog recently. I'm Natalie, though I go under the blogging pseudonym of 'Pony'. I'm a nearly-23-year-old nearly-Fine-Arts-Honours-graduate majoring in Painting. I have an obscenely large vintage collection for my tiny apartment and an appallingly messy studio space.

I love animals but don't have one at the moment, prefer red wine over white, and took aerial dance classes for a while before life got too busy to fit them in. I work as an artist's model.

I think your blog is gorgeous, and that you're refreshingly real. I'd agree with the commenter above who said you're "a doll and a half".

    xo

  26. This is such a great idea for a post (if I nick it I will fully credit you - promise!). It seems a lot of really interesting people ready your blog! I'm probably the dullest one.

Well, as you know, my name is Frankie, I'm 23 years old and I live in Dalston, East London. I have a little jewellery business called Swell Vintage, and occasionally I pretend to be a blogger.

I can't remember how I came to find your blog, but I've enjoyed reading it for well over a year now. All I know for sure is that we both really like squirrels.
