Wish List / Yes Master AW09-10 collection

Yes Master is a lingerie brand conceived in 2005 by Igor Pacemski, a chemist turned designer. This year, Pearl Lowe lent a hand and helped design the AW09/10 collection on the theme "Silver Screen and Rock'n'Roll Dreams". What they wanted to achieve was "a Twin Peaks fifties story inspired by David Lynch, seen through the eyes of a teenager in the late eighties/early nineties". Ambitious? Maybe a little. The result, if not quite as unsettling and original as an episode of Twin Peaks is a pretty vintage inspired range, with bright colours and a lot of polka dots. This, I like.

Their SS10 collection will be launched at London Fashion Week this September and is inspired by "the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe and takes a dark turn without being too gothicky"... I can't wait to see the result.

Regardless of their slightly over the top statements, Yes Master delivered a really cute and girly range. Maybe Audrey Horne wouldn't wear it to the One Eyed Jack's, but I can definitely see myself in some of the pieces featured below.

Yes Master lingerie is stocked at Asos, Figleaves (from August), UK branches of Urban Outfitters, Miss Lala's boudoir in London and many more...

It is very difficult for me to write about lingerie without instantly comparing it to the beautiful creations of my lovely friend Loulou... Which leads me to announce my next giveaway, coming very shortly... Loulou Loves You!

Stay tuned to find out more...

  4. I adore the polka dot lingerie
    Cute but still sexy!

Thank you so much for your post on Stockholm and Paris shopping, i think they are wonderful. In the past i have visited cities and spent hours sometimes days, much to the disgust of my husband, trying to find fantastic boutiques such as the ones you describe. Now i shall have print-outs in bag and a slightly less flustered beau!!
    Keep up the good work!

  9. The satin & bows made me think immediately of lou lou's stuff - I utterly adore the set in that last image - retro-tastic... I really love high waisted stuff. Have learnt it is rather flattering for my body at the moment.

  10. Edgar Allan Poe and underwear are words that do not belong to the same sentence. But these are cute! Love ruffly undies. :D

  11. It's painful, all the models have badly fitted bras.
You can see that the cups are too small, and in no.4 the band is riding up, so it's clearly too big.
The bras are only till E cup, and they don't have bands smaller than 32.
It's a real pity, because they are gorgeous !

The designer needs to read about the Bra Matrix.

It's the same model if you take a better look. Most fashion models are 30 back and the industry stnadard is 34B. So, key accounts that would buy a collection like this would demand for sampling to be done in a 34B, hence the models never fit the bras properly, unless you want to hire a catalogue girl and this is really not the brand's image...

Hope this clears any "friendly" suggestions from Ms. Matrix

  14. I still think that badly-fitted models spread misconceptions about how a bra should look. And the range still does not carry a good choice of sizes.

I love lingerie, and I love David Lynch films. This collection I also love. Especially the last set, the black and white!
