"I get inspired by the things I find, I work around them and anything on the other side of the 70's"
Federica is an all around artist, who has the most incredible eye for everything, from fashion to decoration, photography and life! She never compromised her tastes to be cool which makes her effortlessly hip, and refreshing company amongst all the try harders out there.
I wanted her house to be the first I show you, because it is a great example of an interior that's perfectly coherent with its owner.
Originally from Milan, Federica has been living in London for a while now, and has turned her rented East London maisonette into a whimsical paradise, where carnival, 50's pin-ups and modern design live in harmony. The rooms are arranged according to themes - and sometimes one single wall can have two themes, to create a different space within a room.
Most of the things in her house are from antique markets & jumble sales.

You should head over to her brand new website (still a work in progress as I write this, but no doubt it will be ready very soon).

very classic and vintage-y feel. nice decorations and furnitures throughout
ReplyDeleteLove her bathtub! Any chance she can tell us how she revamped it?
ReplyDeleteMeream - The bathtub originally had the same floral wallpaper on the side, but it was peeling off, so at first she painted it black. Then she glued vintage nautical illustrations over the paint. Ta-Dah!
ReplyDeleteSapphire - There are loads more coming! This is only the first one. I like doing those, it is a change from clothes.
ReplyDeleteFrankie - Good luck with the move! Once you are settled in London, we should meet up for that cup of (iced) tea FINALLY X
