In the pre-internet era, magazines had a lot more power than they do now. Appearing on the cover of a magazine had the same kind of impact as going viral – and the best mags were like the coolest hype sites. Interview, a magazine founded by Andy Warhol was undoubtedly one of the best, a magazine that’s had more iconic covers than any other.
A new brand called The Fan, lovechild of designer Elle Azhdari and stylist Cristina Aranda-Garzon, celebrates these iconic covers by appliquéing them onto MA1 bombers. Like any good magazine, the jackets will be released quarterly in limited editions. The patches, which are hand-stitched feature everyone from Grace Jones to Don Johnson. If bombers aren’t your thing the debut collection, entitled MEGASTAR, also includes gilets and tees. Get ’em while they’re hot!
