Monday nights really aren’t my thing at all. I mostly like to spend them moping, tucked in bed, watching an episode of Parenthood (or 75). Then there are nights when Unsigned comes knocking, promising an evening of good friends, blogging chat and many, many LOLs at the kitchen table of one of the finest restaurants in London. Some stuff even I can’t say “no” to.
After the most wonderful five course meal, I started to feel differently about Mondays. Maybe the antidote to the Monday blues is good food, good friends and great conversation…
Scallop and mackerel tartare, gooseberry, kohlrabi, radish
Wye Valley asparagus, broken egg dressing
Herdwick lamb, ratatouille, courgette flower
Selection of British cheese with freshly baked bread and honey
Dark chocolate mousse, apricot, frozen popcorn sherbet
… and of course my dinner companions: L to R – Catherine, Marcus, Emily, Chimere, (me), Ella, Gavin and Johan.
With thanks to the Gilbert Scott for a truly fabulous evening.
