This week Monsieur Robot finds a fashionable Easter Bonnet at Dover Street Market.
Easter! If the promise of 4 consecutive days off work isn’t enough to thrill you, there’s always the obligatory overeating of chocolate eggs to look forward to. I have my own traditions of watching the Charlie Brown Easter Special every year but I do feel a bit left out fashion-wise. At Christmas you get jumpers – on your birthday you can wear your birthday suit, but at Easter there’s only the Easter bonnet. If only someone could reinterpret the easter bonnet in a more masculine and modern way, with a dash of whimsy and a pinch of urban edge….OH WAIT THEY HAVE.
Bernstock Speirs have opened a Bunny Cap shop at Dover Street Market (mine and John Waters favourite shop in London). Shown in the basement exhibition space the installation is inspired by pop art. The caps are arranged in a rainbow coloured grid like the bright coloured dots of a Lichtenstein painting. Easter just got interesting…
