Girl Meets Boy & A Gift For You

I feel like I must start this post with a disclaimer: I haven’t shopped in Peacocks in a while. So when they contacted me asking me if I would be up for a review of their new Preview CollectionGirl Meets Boy“, I wasn’t sure… until I saw the photos of the capsule collection. It includes four button-up shirts and a couple Peter Pan collar blouses – that’s pretty much all it takes for me to reply “yeah sure, I’ll do it“.
Still, as I was waiting for my parcel, I was getting increasingly anxious… What if the stuff arrives and it is all highly flammable? See, at 33 I can’t get away with looking cheap like I did when I was 20. That doesn’t mean I have to wear designer stuff all the time, but I like to look put together and I like my fabrics to feel luxurious. I am getting old dammit, indulge me.
Anyway – enough about me and my expensive tastes. The “Girl Meets Boy” collection looked good on paper and is  a  premium range of sorts.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the clothes: everything feels nice and the cuts are pretty good. My favourites quite predictably were the shirts but also the drape jackets (that I will show you very soon).
The reason I am boring you with a post on Boxing Day when you are itching to eat turkey leftovers and hit the sale with Christmas money burning a hole in your pockets is because this range is hitting the stores TODAY and it is worth checking out as it is a good little bridge collection between AW and SS12.
The prices range from £22 for a shirt or blouse to £30 for a dress which won’t bankrupt you.
And since it is the season of giving, I would like to give away two of these shirts – the leopard print one and the grey one.
