The simplicity and relaxed feel of Margaret Howell's SS12 collection really appealed to me. Nevermind getting up on a Sunday morning, her shows are always a treat. The show opened with a Beach Boys song and the mood was reflected in the clothes. Inspired by 60s seaside, but with the Howell touch.
I've said this a hundred times here, but London Fashion Week really isn't the place for me - although I do enjoy the fact there is so much young talent on display, I am a classic girl at heart and I would happily sit through show after show of simpler, less avant-garde designers. This is probably why my favourite shows in London are almost always Margaret Howell, Mulberry and the likes. I love a clean, simple cut with interesting detailing.
