Twenty8Twelve x Rose Wylie by Catherine

Twenty8Twelve is a brand that I have always loved – luxe wardrobe staples in high quality fabrics that, let’s face it, if Sienna Miller wears it, everyone wants. So I was excited to attend a ‘Conversation with Rose Wylie and Savannah Miller’, about Twenty8Twelve’s collaboration with artist, Rose.

The interview was set up in an intimate Church hall, in front of a giant canvas of a cheeky, Betty Boo-esque portrait; one of Rose’s works.

Twenty8Twelve collaborate with a different artist every season – Savannah wanted the brand to be ‘not just about clothes’ – to create a few limited edition pieces for the brand. In this case, two perfectly cut oversize t-shirts – one with what could become an iconic print of two big eyes and a set of red lips (that was originally designed as a bikini…I would have liked to see that happen!), and another with that same Betty Boo-like character.

The artist also designed a window display for Twenty8Twelve’s Westbourne Grove boutique, and her works are sold commission free in the shop space (Sienna snapped one up on the night).

Rose’s work translates well into fashion – proving that at 76 years old, it is never too late for a foray into fashion – and I wouldn’t have minded seeing a few more pieces added to the collection.
