Quick & Easy Vintage Curls tutorial

If the prospect of pincurls seems daunting to you, fret not, because you can achieve pretty much the same result using hot sticks. I know vintage hair purists would probably burn me on the spot for saying this, but I am not a very patient person, so most of the time I can't be bothered to set my hair. However, I can totally sit and read a book for 30 minutes with some hot sticks in my hair. The video below shows you how to achieve a curly vintage look super quickly and with minimum effort.

  6. I went to vintage hair styling tutorial just before Christmas with a stylist from Nina's Hair Parlour (review of the night is on my blog!). She recommended hot sticks and claims they will even work on my super fine hair. I might have to invest.

    I've tried pin curls but I always end up looking like a big pile of frizz! She also recommended Tresemme Freeze Hold hairspray, which I have bought and is damn amazing!

  8. I wish hot sticks would work in my hair - it's just to thick and heavy. I have to rag roll and use freeze hold hair spray if I want them to last more than half an hour!

  9. C'est pas moins agressif pour les cheveux que le fer à lisser (il est 7h39, pas courage d'aller chercher "fer à lisser" en anglais) en plus? Qu'est-ce que tu utilises comme sérum?

  13. I can't find hot sticks here in Buenos Aires, they don't make them any more, I think I'll purchase the sticks when I go to NYC on September, but until then: do you think that it's possible to do it with regular curlers and a hair dryer?
