Styling Dungarees: The Grown-Up Way.

I am always drawn by denim, this isn’t exactly a secret… I can’t think of a recent outfit post that didn’t include denim. I can’t help it, it’s just so easy and I am possibly one of the laziest dressers in existence. As far as denim is concerned, dungarees are pretty high on my #lifegoals list, just below double denim and boiler suits. As a 37 year old woman, I thought my dungarees days were behind me, perhaps better kept for intense DIY sessions, but as it turns out, I was very, very wrong… which doesn’t happen a lot.

These perfectly cut dungarees are part of Fat Face‘s Style Heroes for the season: the wash is pale and lovely, the denim light and soft. They are absolutely perfect for spring-summer.  I can’t wait to just throw them on over a white off-the-shoulder top when the weather gets a little warmer (or when I finally land in Los Angeles!)

In the meantime, I styled them with a classic black washed silk shirt, layered necklaces and another one of the Fat Face Style Heroes: the super versatile Kent Mac. Have a look and let me know what you think + stay tuned for the second part of my Style Heroes post next week!
