Atterley Road AW13 – My Edit

As I get older, I am finding it harder and harder to find stores that cater to my needs. I am not quite ready for the more sophisticated, grown-up brands, I don’t work in an office but I am also a little old for some of the stuff that can be found in most high-street places. It is all just too “trendy” for me now. I realise this is making me sound like an old hag, but you know what, I am totally embracing it. Being a stylistic bore is making me insanely happy as getting dressed in the morning is so much easier. I know what I like and I know what fits so I just wear it. I stopped worrying about what other people think, about what’s “appropriate” for the fashion world. I have become a selfish, boring dresser and it is awesome. That doesn’t mean I don’t like to buy new clothes from time to time and pretty clothes are definitely relevant to my interests.
That was a rather long-winded explanation to tell you that, in the middle of an ever younger high-street, I found my Holy Grail: . It is the perfect mix of Scandi-chic, Parisian cool and sells all the brands I want to buy. That also means it is a rather dangerous place for me to visit. Did I mention they stock ? And ? And ? And ? Do you feel my pain now? I thought so. All the labels on Atterley Road are exciting and directional, but never over the top. Perfect for me and exactly what I want at the moment. In case like me you feel a little daunted by shopping in general, I prepared an edit – shoppable version at the top and then all the bits styled in a few outfits. The jumper in the first photo is from Maison Scotch. Isn’t it lovely?
Traduction – Atterley Road est le site parfait si comme moi vous trouvez que beaucoup de choses disponibles en ce moment sont un peu “jeunes” ou un peu trop “mode”. Leur sélection est pointue et stylée sans en faire des tonnes.
