Saint Jean de Luz may be a small town, but there are plenty of things to do there, lovely cafés overlooking the Atlantic, great restaurants, interesting shops (including a great consignment store selling vintage Chanel and Hermés) and of course surfing as well as some great walking trails (you can walk the coastal trail from Bidart to Hendaye if you feel adventurous and would like to recreate your own European version of Cheryl Strayed’s Wild).
