Los Angeles is like a second home and I have already written quite a lot about it on this blog, so I thought it was about time I compiled everything into a mini-guide to the city. You can print out this page and bring it with you on your next trip or if you are on Foursquare you can save my Los Angeles list for even more addresses. For the best ways to travel to L.A., please refer to the bottom of this post!
SHOP
Los Angeles is filled with amazing independent boutiques, most of them look pretty much like perfect pinterest boards. Most of them stock local Californian products and designers, all of them will leave you feeling inspired and happy. If you like vintage shopping, there are many hidden gems there too.

DAY TRIPS
You can get there in 2hrs from SilverLake. Great day trip, but I can guarantee you will want to spend the night, so book ahead at the Ace Hotel.
Forget Venice and Santa Monica. If you want a real beach day, drive up the PCH to Malibu. Zuma Beach is great if you want to surf (or ogle hot surfer dudes).
Do not miss the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, and make sure you take the time to go on the 2hrs whale watch cruise.
When it comes to fun days out, Universal takes the cake. If you go around Halloween, don’t miss the Universal Horror Nights there.
This is a work in progress, I will be adding more addresses each time I travel to L.A, so save this page in your bookmarks and feel free to email me with questions as well!
