Let’s all stop for a moment… Time for an olfactive break! Before the Summer, I was invited to Harrods Salon de Parfums. In case you aren’t familiar with the Salon de Parfums, it is located on the sixth floor of the legendary establishment and presents the world’s rarest and finest scents. Being quite the fragrance enthusiast, I jumped at the chance of having a private consultation in the Tom Ford boutique up there. For about half an hour I sat opposite the most handsome man, chatting about all sumptuous olfactive things. He explained every single Tom Ford Private Blend fragrance to me and the experience was rather inebriating. But back to Tom Ford… I’ve been wearing on and off since its release and I have to say it was the perfect Summer fragrance. The scent is vibrant and captivating, inspired by white acacia flowers spilling from the branches in Mediterranean gardens, then surrounded with citruses and acacia honey. It is light, bright yet memorable. I am currently still wearing it, but I am planning on alternating with deeper, darker fragrances as the weather deteriorates…
seems like the perfect choice. This fragrance is available in limited quantities from the Salon de Parfums, it is rare and mysterious, exactly what I need to see me through the Winter. The complete opposite of Fleur de Portofino, this one is infused with African incense fumes, amber’s salty warmth and patchouli’s sensuality. This is a complex and sophisticated fragrance that lingers on and will certainly keep you on people’s mind for a long time.
