QVC Jewellery AW13 – My Edit

Butler & Wilson Lips Ring

I love jewellery so much I wrote a whole book about it… I dress fairly simply these days so I am always looking for ways to make my outfits look more interesting and I end up turning to jewellery, as I am not  that into hats and things. So when QVC asked me to do a little jewellery edit, I couldn’t refuse. After browsing the site and hesitating for a while on what I wanted to feature, I decided to go for brands I loved and also pieces I would happily incorporate in my everyday jewellery wardrobe. It wasn’t an easy task as there are loads of different labels on the site. The pieces I chose are by no means “basics” but I think that with the right outfit, they can definitely become staples.
Have a look below to find out more about each one of my picks.

Giles Deacon Scorpio Necklace
Top photo: Butler & Wilson Crystal Double Lips Ring – this ring reminds me of the lips ring by Solange Azagury-Partridge and also of some Lulu Frost’s designs. I love a playful take on the cocktail ring.
Above: Libertine by Giles Deacon Crystal Scorpio Necklace – anything even vaguely resembling a living creature gets my vote. This scorpio necklace feels like a magic talisman of sorts when I wear it. It would make a brilliant present for Scorpio friends too and as it turns out, my BFF is a Scorpio!
Butler & Wilson Jewellery
Butler & Wilson Double Hands Wrap Around Bangle and Couture Multi-Crystal Necklace – there is something really 80s and very silly about the hands bangle and I love that! It reminds me of things my mum used to wear when I was little. I don’t like “serious” jewellery and so this bangle is pretty perfect in my book. The necklace is pretty much the ultimate statement piece. I would wear it with a white tee or shirt and a printed pencil skirt for the evening, or just over a simple cashmere jumper and jeans in the day.

Mickey Mouse Watch

Disney Classic Collection Mickey Mouse Watch – I am a sucker for all things Disney, especially Mickey and Minnie Mouse, but I sometimes find it difficult to find “grown-up” things featuring my beloved mice. This is a cool twist on the classic wrist watch. I like!

This is a collaboration between Mademoiselle Robot and QVC
