Nars x Sarah Moon

In case you haven’t been paying attention, I ran an interview with iconic French photographer Sarah Moon not so long ago. If you haven’t read it already, do go back and give it a whirl first, as it will give you all the background information you need about the collection and its genesis.

Today, I want to go a little more in depth talking to you about the products in the collection. I could start by telling you all about the absolutely glorious packaging design and how lovely these bits will look on your dressing table, but I am going to assume you have eyes and can tell by the photos that  plexiglas case, adorned with giant lips will be the perfect receptacle for the bits and bobs you have lying around. The reason you will want to buy this box? It is filled with NARS lipsticks in various shades picked by Sarah Moon herself such as: Sarah, Anita, Marlene, Rita, Olivia, Sandra, Charlotte, Bette (#squadgoals?). Essentially for $125 you get your ideal lipstick wardrobe with 2 nudes, 3 or 4 reds and some darker brown and burgundy shades. I, for one swear by the Glass Metropolis box. It would be a pretty sweet gift for your lipstick obsessed BFF too.

Then there are the other palettes such as the  which includes a palette of two new limited-edition Dual-Intensity Blushes in “Noctum” and “Vu”, Light Reflecting Setting Powder, Mini Chelsea Girls Lip Gloss and Black Moon Audacious Mascara. I use mine when I travel as it contains all the daily make-up essentials. I must say that here in Los Angeles I don’t actually need much more than that!

If you don’t quite have the budget for a set, you can dip in the collection by purchasing individual items such as eyelashes, kohl, lipsticks and nail polishes. There is a stunning Moon Matte Lipstick in the range called , which I strongly recommend. It is the perfect nude and stays on for EVER.
