(one of the best in recent years if you ask me), but it is also a great new London eaterie and a welcome addition to the Queen’s Park /Kensal Rise area. Unfortunately for me, it opened the day before I moved to California so I won’t be able to make it my new local, but you can! And perhaps it is better for you if I am not around as it means there will actually be sushi left for you.
The decor is a little bit more hip than your average sushi restaurant: exposed brick walls abound, as well as a copper bar and tables all hailing from the capital of interior design: Milano. Rest assured that it isn’t style over substance like many other too-cool-for-school London restaurants though: the food is as delicious as the surroundings and you are bound to have a great time there, whether visiting with your family or friends… And who knows, if you are lucky, maybe Michiko herself will be there having lunch or dinner and you will be able to nose around her epic studio (yep, it is just above the restaurant!) – if not, you can stay tuned for my studio tour coming up…
Oh, before I forget: ff you happen to walk by before work, I also suggest you grab a coffee from Dark Habit, also located in the premises.
