How To Cope With Anxiety

I usually work on Spirit Animal on Tuesday each week and record on Wednesday… Then a new episode airs every Saturday. This week, Mini is on holiday and I wasn’t sure I would have time to record an episode. I was getting myself ready to write a post announcing a week break from the podcast but then this morning, I was talking with my best friend and she said she was feeling very anxious, which prompted me to record this week’s episode anyway.

Anxiety has many different sources, different causes and different symptoms. Overall, I think it is pretty safe to say we all know what it feels like to be anxious, stressed or nervous. And too often, we attribute stress or anxiety to something in our life (generally work) and promptly brush it under the carpet or tell ourselves it is too much of a #FirstWorldProblem to deserve our attention. The thing is: a problem is a problem and your problems fit within your life and are still problems, even if others have bigger ones than you. So don’t ignore your issues. Give yourself as much attention as you would give others.
