How I Wear – A Denim Playsuit For Beach Antics

When I packed my McArthurGlen Outlet finds in my case, a little over two weeks ago, I had no idea how much fun I would have wearing them. When I am in London, I think about my wardrobe choices in a certain way – my daily outfits need to cater for the changing weather, show off my personal style and look the part for all those meetings. In California, I don’t have that problem anymore. Catering for the weather is a moot point as there is no weather. Showing off my personal style is pretty easy so I don’t have to worry about that. As for “looking the part” and playing that fashion game, I leave this bit of getting dressed buried in my suitcase. Who needs to look the part when you can put on a playsuit and let the wind do your hair every morning?
When I look in my closet, I can see I own two distinct wardrobes with a few crossover items: one for my London life and one for my time in California. This little GAP chambray playsuit, found at McArthurGlen is now one of the main building blocks of my California wardrobe. It is so sweet and easy. The accompanying Jaeger silk scarf and Osprey sunnies (also great finds from my McArthurGlen visit) are definitely crossover pieces! And now, whenever I wrap the scarf around my neck on a cold London morning, I will be reminded of warmer days in California, spent frolicking in the waves. Small reliefs.
These photos were taken in Palos Verdes where we ended up after a visit to Huntington Dog Beach for Corgi Beach Party!
I am wearing: GAP playsuit, Jaeger scarf, Osprey sunglasses (all from McArthurGlen), Gudrun Sjoden kimono top.
