Pinafore & Breton Top

Today’s headline: French meets Scandi shocker, or how I betrayed my country by putting together a French uniform of Scandinavian provenance. I tricked you all, didn’t I? This could very well be A.P.C. or another minimal chic Parisian label, but as it turns out the pinafore and Breton top both come from laid back Scandi brand Gudrun Sjoden. I love finds like these, when you step into a store that wouldn’t normally be on your radar and come out with an outfit that is so perfect for you. There is a style lesson in there: don’t be a label snob, just try things on, all that matters is how things look on you. Believe me, this will broaden your sartorial horizons. All of Gudrun’s designs are made out of organic cotton, fair trade and all that jazz as well, so you can make educated buys, safe in the knowledge that the clothes on your back aren’t hurting anyone.

I love this outfit, it is so easy and still within the “school theme”. Although this time it is more Mathilda than Witch School
Traduction – J’adore les trouvailles inattendues chez des créateurs que je n’ai pas l’habitude de porter. Cette robe et ce haut de la marque Scandinave Gudrun Sjoden sont parfaits, non?

I am wearing: Gudrun Sjoden striped eco-cotton tee and Pinafore (little preview from the AW13 collection, shhh), Ash boots, J.Crew Edie bag and asos sunglasses (shop the look below)

Thanks Rachel for the pics!
