Monsieur Robot – Matches & J Brand (Part 1) #DenimSolved

The lovely folk over at Matches recently asked me to do a bit of styling for them. They’re a bit excited to be carrying a new brand you see – J Brand Denim. They want to show off this snazzy new range of jeans with the rest of their gorgeous clothes, and I was only too happy to help. You see many years ago me and Mademoiselle Robot used to work together (doing something very different from what we do now) in Wimbledon, and there was only one shop within walking distance of our office that was worth visiting on payday – Matches, it’s a small world.
I styled two looks, one casual and one formal. This is the casual look, the jeans are J Brand Kane Classic which (as you can see) are a pretty sweet fit. As for the rest of the look I have to say I was spoiled for choice – Matches had pretty much everything I loved from the AW12 collections so it took me AGES to settle on an outfit. The Carven jumper is a thing of true beauty, there’s just something about the juxtaposition of the traditional cable knit and the zip used purely for aesthetics, that works for me. The Balenciaga hi-tops are plain old gorgeous and work really well with the dark indigo J Brand jeans, there’s something pleasingly futuristic about the translucent sole too. I had a coat in mind (a shearling Valentino peacoat if you’re wondering) but it would have hidden the zips on the jumper and honestly, I’d rather be cold than hide this jumper, so I went for a bag instead. I love Pierre Hardy’s shoes but his bags might be even better. Suede leopard print? Gold Buckles? Honestly, this bag is SICK…
Traduction – Matches m’a demandé de mettre en scène quelques uns de leurs jeans J Brand. Voici mon premier look.
