I feel like I should begin this post with a disclaimer: I don’t “do” exercising. Or sports. I don’t watch it, I don’t practice it, I don’t enjoy it. Oh I have done some stuff when I was younger, that included basketball, karate, modern jazz, horse-riding. I enjoyed them to various degrees. For example, basketball isn’t really my calling, but I could still easily spend three weeks riding and looking after horses. I also loved dance classes and still really love dancing. I guess that makes me a pony girl in a tutu. Just what I needed.
Now that’s out of the way, let’s talk about sportswear. I don’t “do” sportswear either. The sight of sweatpants makes me want to vomit, I don’t get excited over trainers and I think spandex and lycra are best kept for superheroes. Enter Lucas Hugh…
Lucas Hugh somehow manages to interest me in sportswear where even Stella McCartney and Yamamoto didn’t. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it is Tahnee Lonsdale‘s beautiful, golden prints, maybe the panelling, garment construction and textures. Either way, these are pieces I would like to wear. These are pieces that would *maybe* get me excited about sports. Yeah, you read that right. Me, excited about sports. Not really, I got carried away. I would just get excited about wearing Lucas Hugh’s collection and maybe I would sit and watch hot boys play sports. This I can do. I am really good at objectifying men playing sports by shouting innuendo heavy things at them…
Enough about me – just look at Hugh.
