How to wear winter shorts

I have recently come to the conclusion that when it comes to winter wear, one of my staples is shorts. It sounds pretty stupid, right? "And why not Moon Boots in the Summer?" you ask. There actually is a logical explanation to winter shorts: with the right amount of layering, they are pretty warm. And cosy. And comfy. And when it is really windy, you don't find yourself screaming for help because your skirt is on your head (it often happens to me, especially if I am pushing the buggy and both my hands are busy). So yes, winter shorts are my best friends. I have various options in my closet: denim shorts, woolly mum shorts, floral shorts, the list goes on and on. Today I thought I'd give you some ways to wear shorts in the winter without getting comments from your mum.

I wouldn't at the moment as I'm a little heavier than I'd like to be and I think shorts would emphasise that, but I used to have a pair of grey shorts I wore with bright-coloured tights occasionally!

I wear them the other day for a lunch with my boyfriend and family; I think they look really great depending of the thights you use!!
I'm attempting the winter shorts look this winter...I'll let you know how it goes! I dont wear shorts in the summer b/c I hate my ghostly white legs but I think with tights I can do it.

i concur on the greatness of winter shorts and add the point that if it's raining jeans and trousers take forever to dry in the cold.
I can't stand normal trousers so I always end up wearing skirts and shorts! My fav outfit is the one to go to the party :)

I do wear short in winter but it's quite easy when you live in South of France I guess.. ;)
I feel the skirt + wind pain.
I don't wear shorts full stop, I've rarely found a pair that suit me and my thunder thighs!
I did buy a cute playsuit from a charity shop at the weekend, but it's beige linen so I think it has limited winter applications. I might have a play though.
I love shorts in winter. Much more comfortable than trousers; much more practical than a skirt. On really cold days (like today in Dublin) I double-up the tights. Lx.

I would surely wear shorts during winter !! And I loved all that the shorts are all high waisted! I especially love the one for work.
